To accompany her husband, Prince Harry, to the ESPY Awards, Meghan Markle took style cues from one of her most trusted, chicest style icons—herself. She wore a lovely white dress that bore a striking resemblance to her memorable wedding reception gown.
For the Thursday ceremony, she looked radiant in a custom Oscar de la Renta halter dress that featured a slinky construction, floor-grazing skirt, and low back. Markle, with the help of her stylist Jamie Mizrahi, paired the piece with strappy black Celine sandals, square diamond earrings, and a gold Cartier bracelet. On one hand, she wore a new 18k white, yellow, and rose gold ring adorned with diamonds, while on the other, she went with her usual stack: a diamond engagement ring, a Welsh gold wedding ring, and an eternity band that was an anniversary gift from Harry. The Suits alumna finished it all off with minimal, glowy makeup and a slicked-back bun.
Royal fans will notice the dress looks uncannily similar to the one she chose for her wedding reception. The Stella McCartney creation she wore back in 2018 had a similar high halter neckline, low back detail, elegant bodice, and trailing skirt—all in the same bright white hue.
The couple traveled to Los Angeles’s Dolby Theatre, two hours south of their Montecito home, for the awards ceremony where Prince Harry was honored with the Pat Tillman Award for Service in recognition of his work with army veterans through The Invictus Games. Markle forewent the red carpet but was seen inside the event seated next to Harry, who looked dapper in a classic black suit and tie by Giorgio Armani.
Highlights from the night included watching their longtime friend, tennis legend Serena Williams, open the ceremony and Harry’s emotional acceptance speech, in which he gave a touching tribute to his mom, Princess Diana.
