Like the best things in Hollywood, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’s love came out of a big movie set. On a fateful day in 2010, the two crossed paths while filming Green Lantern, and shortly after, things turned romantic. Within two years, they tied the knot, and since then, they’ve welcomed four kids. To keep things exciting, the pair have sprinkled in their fair share of adorable—and utterly hilarious—tributes to one another over the course of their marriage, leaving fans thinking I want what they have. See ahead for all the milestones in the decade-long relationship.

At the time, both actors were romantically involved with other people. Lively had been dating her Gossip Girl costar Penn Badgley off and on from 2007 to 2010, while Reynolds was married to Scarlett Johansson. However, in October of 2010, Lively and Badgley split. Wedding bells rang for the couple on September 9, 2012. They celebrated their union at Boone Hall Plantation in South Carolina. A decade later, Reynolds apologized for their choice in venue. “It’s something we’ll always be deeply and unreservedly sorry for,” he said during an interview with Fast Company in 2020. “It’s impossible to reconcile. What we saw at the time was a wedding venue on Pinterest. What we saw after was a place built upon devastating tragedy. Years ago, we got married again at home—but shame works in weird ways. A giant f*cking mistake like that can either cause you to shut down, or it can reframe things and move you into action.”
