Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney are thinking about growing their family!
According to one person close to the couple — who began dating in 2018 and tied the knot in October 2019 — the 33-year-old actress and her 40-year-old art gallery director husband are enjoying life as a family of three and are “super in love.”
A source tells ET, “Jennifer and Cooke are doing very well and are super in love. They make each other laugh and have the best time parenting together. They would love to have another kid and expand their family.”
The Silver Linings Playbook actress and her husband are already parents to 2-year-old Cy, who they welcomed back in February 2022. The pair are infamously private when it comes to their lives and have only spoken about their son a handful of times.
Just last year, though, ET spoke with Lawrence and her co-star, Andrew Barth Feldman, in promotion for their movie, No Hard Feelings, where the Oscar winner discussed her parenting style and quipped about which famous parents she takes inspo from.
“Of course, [you have] the urge to stop anything from ever hurting or negatively affecting your baby,” she said of trying not to become a helicopter mom. She jokingly added of her parental inspirations, “Jon and Kate Plus 8, the Duggars.”
To that point, her castmate chimed in and sang her praises as not only a fellow actor but a new mom.
“Jen is an amazing mother, for real. That was kind of one of the incredible things about doing this with you is seeing just how much of a priority being a mother is for you and how deeply you care about that over everything,” he said.
In 2022, ET chatted with the award-winning actress at the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of her movie, Causeway, where she shared an update on how motherhood was treating her, seven months into the job.
“Wonderful, thank you,” she said. Around the same time, she stunned on the cover of Vogue where she revealed her baby boy’s name, opened up about parenthood and shared that before her pregnancy with Cy, she experienced two miscarriages.
“It’s so scary to talk about motherhood. Only because it’s so different for everybody. If I say, It was amazing from the start, some people will think, It wasn’t amazing for me at first, and feel bad. Fortunately I have so many girlfriends who were honest. Who were like, It’s scary. You might not connect right away. You might not fall in love right away. So I felt so prepared to be forgiving,” she shared.
Lawrence continued, “The morning after I gave birth, I felt like my whole life had started over.”
Should the actress and her hubby decide to add another bundle of joy to their clan, it would likely be a while until she reveals any details about the baby as she kept her first pregnancy journey private and her baby out of the spotlight.
“If I was at a dinner party, and somebody was like, ‘Oh, my God, you’re expecting a baby,’ I wouldn’t be like, ‘God, I can’t talk about that. Get away from me, you psycho!’” she told Vanity Fair in 2021.
Lawrence added, “But every instinct in my body wants to protect their privacy for the rest of their lives, as much as I can. I don’t want anyone to feel welcome into their existence. And I feel like that just starts with not including them in this part of my work.”
