Larry Birkhead is reminiscing!
On Saturday, July 20, the actor, 51, posted a throwback photo of him with his 17-year-old daughter Dannielynn Birkhead when she was just a baby during their appearance on Larry King Live back in 2007.
In the snap, which was shared on Larry’s Instagram Stories, he held up a baby Dannielynn, who looked adorable in a sundress, as he sat opposite late host King at his famous desk on the show.
At the bottom of the photo was a signed message from King in which the visible part seemed to read, “For Larry, Dannielyln xo.”
The message also appeared to have been signed by the TV star. Baby bottles and heart emojis were added over the picture by Larry in a playful reference to Dannielynn’s young age at the time of the snap.
Larry appeared with Dannielynn, who is also the daughter of the late Anna Nicole Smith, on Larry King Live in September 2007 when she was just a year old. Their appearance on the show came seven months after Smith died aged 39 from an accidental drug overdose.
Smith had claimed prior to her death that Dannielynn’s father her partner Howard K. Stern. A court battle however established that Birkhead was Dannielynn’s biological father and he was awarded custody of his daughter.
The father-daughter duo also appeared on Larry King Live in 2009.
Larry posted a more recent photo of him and Dannielynn together as the pair traveled home after attending the 2024 Kentucky Derby in May.
On May 5, Dannielynn and her photographer dad announced on their joint Instagram account that they had finished their annual trip to the iconic horse race for the year as they shared a selfie taken from their plane seats.

“On our way back home from a great @kentuckyderby weekend. Since I am scared to fly, I got a note for being a good boy. Thanks Kirsten @delta 😂 #flydelta,” ” Larry joked in the caption at the time.
While Larry and Dannielynn are generally private about their personal lives, the father-daughter duo document their visit to the Kentucky Derby on social media every year, along with their other travel adventures together.
