Lucy-Bleu Knight, the stepdaughter of Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash, has died. She was 25.
The news was shared on Sunday by the veteran musician and his longtime love, and Lucy-Bleu’s mother, Meegan Hodges, via Instagram.
“Lucy-Blue Knight (December 6, 1998) beloved daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight, stepdaughter of Samantha Somers Knight and Slash, sister of Scarlet Knight, Stepsister of London and Cash Hudson, passed away peacefully in Los Angeles, CA on July 19, 2024,” the statement read.
“Lucy-Bleu was an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and charming, loveable, sweet soul. The family asks for privacy at this time and requests that social media speculation be kept to a minimum as the grieve and process this devastating loss.”
No further details about Lucy-Bleu’s death such as a cause was shared.
Hours after Slash (whose real name is Saul Hudson) shared the news, one final post from Lucy-Bleu’s Instagram account was published. It has not been confirmed if it was scheduled or posted by someone else.
“Whether I made you feel excluded, manipulated/ controlled you, told you to quit your day job from the comfort of being financially supported by my parents, or drowned real issues in toxic positivity-I am sorry. Countless missed opportunities and connections due to a disgustingly big ego, insecure heart and fear of being vulnerable. May my soul learn to evolve from my poor job at being Lucy-Bleu. Peace🌷,” the post accompanied by a selfie of Lucy-Bleu looking off-camera read.
Her mother was one of the first to comment writing, “MY BABY GIRL! 🕊️🤍I LOVE YOU WITH EVERYTHING. I’M SO SORRY.”
The announcement came after Slash took to social media on Saturday to share that multiple dates of the S.E.R.P.E.N.T. tour would be canceled.
Lucy-Bleu was also remembered by London, who shared the family statement and remembered her with a graphic, featuring a picture of her with angel wings and the words, “Rest In Paradise, Lucy.”
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, the S.E.R.P.E.N.T tour regrettably has to cancel the below performances. Refunds will be available at points of purchase,” the post prior to the announcement of Lucy-Bleu’s death read.
“July 22 – Cincinnati, OH – PNC Pavilion at Riverbend, July 24 – Interlochen, MI – Interlochen Center for the Arts, July 25 – Huber Heights, OH – Rose Music Center July 27 – Windsor, ON – The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor. According to the post, the tour will resume in Toronto, Canada on July 28.
Slash and Hodges began their relationship in 1989, before they split. The couple rekindled their romance in 2015. The “Welcome to the Jungle” rocker was previously married to Renée Suran and Perla Ferrar — whom he shares London, 21, and Cash, 20.
