Demi Lovato, a longtime dog lover, is showing off her new puppy.
The two-time Grammy nominee shared several photos and a video of the dog — affectionately named Pickle — in an Instagram carousel posted on Sunday, July 28.
“PICKLE 🥒🐶🥹,” Lovato, 31, wrote in the caption of the post, which her fiancé, Jordan ‘Jutes’ Lutes, reposted on his Instagram Stories.
A week ago, Lovato revealed with an Instagram Stories snap that she and Jutes had welcomed a news addition. “Meet our new son Pickle,” read the caption.
In the new carousel’s lead photo, Lovato poses with a towel-wrapped Pickle, who had just finished taking a bath.
The next image shows Pickle beside a pickle dog toy. In another picture in the gallery, Pickle lies down while staring at himself in the a mirror.
The sole video in the post shows Pickle cautiously coming down a flight of stairs. Lovato ended the carousel with a photo of Pickle and another pup.
Lovato, a known pickle lover among her fans, and Jutes notably dressed up in pickle costumes for Halloween 2023. “We’re kind of a big dill 🥒,” she captioned a post of them showing off the costumes.
The new addition to their family comes months after the release of Lovato’s TV special — A Very Demi Holiday — during which she and her friend Paris Hilton baked dog-friendly cakes.
“My dogs are such a huge part of the family, obviously, but during the holidays, having them like open presents with us Christmas morning is really cute and sweet,” Lovato said in the TV special.

While the “Sorry Not Sorry” singer is showing off her new furry friend, she still carries the memory of one of her other dogs with her. In 2019, Lovato got a tattoo of her late dog Buddy’s face and the words “Buddy was here” on her ankle. Buddy died in a “tragic accident” in 2015.
Lovato also mourned the deaths of dogs Bailey and Bella in 2019 and 2021, respectively.
“I know you’re playing on the rainbow bridge with Bailey and Buddy right now, and there’s nothing making me happier than realizing you’re no longer suffering and in pain,” Lovato said after Bella’s death.
“The things you taught us we will never forget, and I promise I will continue to love others just as you loved us,” she continued. “Thank you for everything Bella, and have fun in your new world.”
Lovato and Jutes, a musician, went public with their romance in August 2022 before he proposed in December 2023.
