The Abbott Elementary cast has some ideas for guest stars in season 4.
On Saturday, July 27, Quinta Brunson joined costars Tyler James Williams, Janelle James, Chris Perfetti, Lisa Ann Walter, Sheryl Lee Ralph and William Stanford Davis for a panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2024. There, she revealed a crossover episode with an unrevealed TV series will come this season.
“I’m not gonna tell you with who, or with what, or where, or when, but it’s really exciting and I think it’ll change television as we know it,” Brunson, 34, teased of the “interesting crossover.”
She later told Variety she loved watching the Disney Channel crossover episodes that brought the casts of That’s So Raven, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, and Hannah Montana together.
“Those things are what reinvigorate TV viewers, TV watchers, and I think it’s always fun to find ways to reinvigorate our audiences,” she said. “What’s important with Abbott is we protect the show. Because it’s a ‘mockumentary’ we have to protect what we’re doing, but to find a way for it to still be possible to do something cool like that. It makes me really, really happy. It’s just like an ode to the medium.”
“I just live for those kind of magic moments, and I’m excited to be able to bring one to TV with Abbott,” she continued.

While Brunson has remained tight-lipped about what series the hit sitcom will collaborate with, the cast conjured up a few dream guest stars with PEOPLE.
Williams, 31, proposed Solange Knowles, adding that she could be the sister his character Gregory Eddie doesn’t know he has.
Perfetti, 35, added that it’s “really hard to say” who he would want. “I feel like Quinta has been so great about bringing in people that I didn’t know about. But, fit seamlessly in the world of Abbott and are just like so talented and such forces. And so I feel like my dream guest star is again, somebody I don’t know about yet.”
Davis, 72, chimed in and said: “When I tell them my dream just star, they laugh at me.”
“Because it’s Halle Berry,” Brunson immediately added.
Williams added, “It’s not because it is Halle Berry —” But Davis interjected, “It’s because she should be my love interest.”
Walter, 60, quipped, “I also want Halle Berry as my love interest.”
James echoed her castmate Perfetti’s sentiments. “Like, it’s hard to do what you want. If that were the case, I’d be like [late singer] Prince or something,” James said. “And then he’d just be Prince on our show, but that’s not the type of guest star that we do.”
