A Wisconsin man suspected of killing and dismembering a teenager on their first date allegedly planned the killing as far back as a month, multiple outlets report, citing a warrant and an informant.
Sade Carleena Robinson, 19, was allegedly killed on April 2, after she briefly disappeared from Milwaukee, Wisc., the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office said at the time.
Maxwell S. Anderson, 33, was charged with murder, among several other offenses, in connection with her death, the sheriff’s office said in their April statement, alleging that Anderson “mutilated her remains, and set fire to her car in an attempt to obscure potential evidence of the killing.”
Body parts, which were later identified as Robinson’s, were found scattered across Milwaukee and a nearby municipality in the days following her disappearance, per the sheriff’s office.
Now, more alleged details are shedding light on the case.
Recently unsealed search warrants obtained by WISN, FOX 6 and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reveal that an informant told Milwaukee authorities that Anderson had allegedly shown him the murder location and tools about a month before the killing.
The informant allegedly said that he was in Anderson’s home on March 5, per warrants, when he visited Anderson’s basement, the outlets reported.
The informant alleged he saw three saws in the basement and a plastic tarp, the warrants said, per the outlets. The tarp was covering the windows and walls from the floor to the ceiling, the informant claimed.
Anderson allegedly gave a detailed plan of how he would carry out the killing of Robinson, who he told the informant he had met recently, per the warrants.
The informant alleged that Anderson told him he would threaten Robinson with a gun and bring her to his basement, where he would shoot and dismember her, the outlets reported, citing the warrants.
Anderson allegedly planned to dispose parts of Robinson’s body across the city, the warrants said, citing the informant’s account.
The investigation began after Robinson’s disappearance on April 1, which was followed by a series of eerie events — such as her car being found aflame, per a complaint obtained by Wisconsin Public Radio.
In another instance, a severed leg was found outside of Milwaukee, authorities said at the time. The leg would later be identified as Robinson’s, per the sheriff’s office.
