Former Disney Channel actress Skai Jackson was arrested while at Universal Studios on Friday.
Police responded to a domestic incident involving Jackson around 5 p.m. on Friday, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter. Per the authorities’ initial investigation, Jackson was determined the primary aggressor and was arrested for spousal battery. It’s unclear who else was involved in the incident.
The actress was transported to the West Hollywood police station for booking, and her case will be sent to the Van Nuys Superior Court House for filing.
Representatives for the actress did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Jackson starred as Zuri in the Disney Channel series Jessie from 2011 to 2015. She reprised the role for the first three seasons of the series’ spinoff, Bunk’d. She will appear in the thriller The Man in the White Van, which will head to U.S. theaters in October.
The movie stars Sean Austin of Stranger Things, along with Ali Larter (The Rookie) and Madison Wolfe (The Conjuring 2). It is inspired by a series of true crimes in the 1970s regarding Annie Williams (played by Wolfe), who was stalked repeatedly by a man in a white van. The synopsis promises a “terrifying Halloween nightmare.”
