Tommy Fury is denying that he cheated on Molly-Mae Hague after speculation has circulated following their shocking breakup announcement.
After U.K. tabloids, including The Sun and The Daily Mail, have claimed that Fury, 25, cheated on his fiancée during their relationship, a rep for the professional boxer told PEOPLE that he is “horrified by the false allegations of cheating being circulated by the media.”
His rep added that Fury is “consulting his lawyers” regarding the “false” claims.
A representative for Hauge declined to comment further when reached by PEOPLE.
On Aug. 14, Hague, 25, posted a statement on her Instagram Stories, saying she was “extremely upset to announce” that the pair had ended their engagement after 5 years together.
She said that she “never imagined our story would end, especially not this way,” prompting speculation amongst Love Island fans as to what led to the breakup.
In Hague’s statement announcing the breakup – which came weeks after the couple celebrated the one-year anniversary of Fury’s surprise proposal in Ibiza and a month after they marked 5 years since they met on Love Island UK – she thanked fans “for all the love you have shown us over the last five years.”
“You have all been a part of our journey and I feel it’s right to share this with you all,” she continued. “Whilst I attempt to navigate the coming days and weeks please kindly respect my privacy over this difficult time, I’ll be back when it feels right.”
She also called her 1-year-old daughter, Bambi, whom the pair shares, “the most important thing to me now and always,” as she said Bambi “will always be my priority.”
Fury posted a statement about the breakup on his Instagram Stories, too, similarly calling Bambi his “priority” as he wrote, “I am heartbroken to share that Molly & I have decided to end our relationship.” The past 5 years have led us to having our beautiful baby girl Bambi & I will be forever thankful to Molly for making me a dad.”
He also asked for “privacy” for him and his family “as we navigate through this difficult time.”
Fury and Hague met on Love Island UK season 5 in 2019. Though they ended the season as runner-ups, the twosome quickly cemented their status as a fan-favorite couple from the show.
They moved in together in Manchester, England following the show’s end and later purchased their dream home together in 2022.

In July 2023, Fury orchestrated a fake brand trip for Hague that covered up the engagement he surprised her with on a mountainside in Ibiza. Their daughter Bambi was part of the proposal, too, and Fury wrote in an Instagram post following the engagement, “To my perfect fiancé… forever wouldn’t be long enough to call you mine 🤍 ♾️ .”
