We can always count on FKA twigs to take big swings with her style, from her chainmail look at last year’s British Fashion Awards to her many Met Gala looks. But the singer and actor seems to have made her boldest fashion choice yet.
Last night, twigs held a listening party in New York City for her forthcoming album eusexua, and marked the occasion with a hair-raising look. She wore a cognac faux-leather bustier top from Miaou, which she paired with a matching thong—visible through a pair of ultra-sheer nude micro shorts. But twigs didn’t leave more than a sliver of leg exposed, thanks to her thigh-high brown boots complete with a giant, squared-off platform.
But the most outré piece of twigs’s look wasn’t the teetering platform, nor the diaphanous shorts. Nay, she carried a large clutch covered in long, luscious brown hair, which swung by her side. She also went all in on makeup, too, with help from special effects makeup artist Tilda Mace, who decorated twig’s forehead and nose bridge with a geometric pattern.
