Madewell’s Fall Drop Is Full of Cool-Girl Shoes and Bags

As much as I’d love to fill my wardrobe with designer bags and shoes, I don’t have the budget for it. So when I want high-quality pieces that feel trendy yet timeless and won’t break the bank, I go to Madewell—and this fall, so is everyone else.

While Madewell might be most famous for its denim, it’s the brand’s fall-ready shoes and accessories the internet can’t stop talking about; namely, the outfit-elevating belts, suede flats, and studded leather bag, which looks an awful lot like a $2,000 designer one. The drop nails cool-girl luxury—with buttery leather and metal details that can instantly elevate an outfit—yet nothing is more than $220.

As a former employee who knows just how quickly the brand’s trending accessories can sell out, I have a feeling this drop might not be in stock for long, so I’m shopping it ASAP. Below, find the Madewell shoes and accessories I’ll be relying on this fall to make my wardrobe basics look more expensive, starting at $68.

10 Madewell Shoes and Accessories

The Essential Bucket Tote

Madewell

I can’t open Instagram or TikTok without seeing one of Madewell’s studded bags, including the Essential Convertible Mini Bag and Essential Bucket Tote, which is my personal favorite. This is a new take on the brand’s famous, Katie Holmes-worn carry-all tote bag, and has been updated with a mahogany-colored suede and adjustable, gold-studded strap for fall. Between the soft suede and hardware, this bag has an almost vintage look to it while still feeling fresh; where boho bags of the past leaned shapeless and fringe-covered, this takes a more simplistic, timeless approach. Plus, owners of the bag swear by its quality, writing that it feels “so high-end and incredibly made” that you’ll wear it for years.

The Essential Curve Shoulder Bag

The Curve Bag is a slouchy, everyday-take on the popular crescent moon style and features a slightly oversized design that can fit everything from tablets to water bottles. I really love how this is relaxed enough for daily wear but still elevated, thanks to that 100-percent leather design and sleek gold hardware. And while I am partial to it in this olive-green shade, it’s also available in four other goes-with-everything fall colors, including a brown and navy suede.

The Oversized Shopper Tote

“Beat up” designer bags might be in, but they’ll still cost you an arm and a leg for a purse that’s been worn nearly to death. Instead, you can get that lived-in look for less (and new!) with Madewell’s Oversized Shopper Tote. The pebbled-leather bag has two shoulder straps, a slouchy design, and so much room that it can double as a weekender, per the brand.

The Beverley Mary Jane Flat

Madewell

I already own the Beverley Mary Janes in black, but I’m now eyeing the newest style, which features an oxblood shade and croc-stamped leather. A deep purple is one of my favorite ways to bring color into my fall wardrobe while that croc-embossed leather looks seriously expensive. But just as important, these are seriously comfortable, with cushioning and support you don’t typically find in flats.
