George and Amal Clooney brought the glow to the Venice Film Festival.
The award-winning actor, 63, and the human rights lawyer, 46, returned to the event on Sunday, Sept. 1, for the premiere of George’s new film Wolfs — and, of course, they did so in style.
For the premiere, George looked dapper in a classic black suit. He paired the perfectly tailored number with a matching black bow tie and dress shoes, plus his signature salt-and-pepper hair.
Amal, meanwhile, made an elegant statement in one of the summer’s most talked-about colors: butter yellow. The lawyer took a page out of the How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days style book with her floor-length gown in the bright shade.
Unlike Kate Hudson‘s rom-com heroine, however, Amal’s gown featured boning on the bodice, a cascading, ruffled skirt, and lots of lace.
She added a pop of sparkle to the intricate dress with drop earrings, which peeked out from behind her brunette tresses, and a glimmering box clutch.
The couple posed on the red carpet with George’s Wolfs costar Brad Pitt — whom he also starred alongside in the Ocean’s trilogy, Burn After Reading and Confessions of a Dangerous Mind — as well as Pitt’s girlfriend, Ines de Ramon.
The foursome’s red carpet appearance comes after they enjoyed a double dinner date on Saturday, Aug. 31, at Venice’s Ristorante Da Ivo, which is a must-stop for George and Amal whenever they travel to the city.
Like his castmate, Pitt, 60, kept things simple on the Wolfs premiere carpet with a black suit. His custom Louis Vuitton look, however, was entirely all-black and featured flared trousers. To spice things up a bit, the Moneyball actor also layered the suit over a mesh undershirt.
His girlfriend opted for a polar-opposite look, providing stark contrast to Pitt’s dark ensemble with a floor-length white gown. She paired the one-shoulder, body-con dress, like Amal, with sparkling earrings and her brown locks cascading down her shoulders.

The Clooneys have much to celebrate in Venice in addition to George’s latest film project.
On Sept. 27, the parents of two will ring in their 10-year wedding anniversary following their 2014 nuptials in the Italian city, which saw Amal walk down the aisle in a custom Oscar de la Renta French lace gown.
The festival has also marked many momentous milestones for the pair.
In 2017, their appearance at the Suburbicon premiere was their first at a public event since welcoming their twins Alexander and Ella, now 7. Amal celebrated the occasion in a lilac Versace gown, while George wore a traditional black Armani tuxedo.
In August 2023, the couple attended fashion designer’s Diane von Furstenberg’s annual DVF Awards, where Amal, who wore a romantic blush pink gown to the event, was honored with the DVF Leadership Award.
