Jay Hayden Joins ‘FBI: International’ Season 4

Station 19 alum Jay Hayden is joining FBI: International.

Hayden, 37, who formerly starred on the ABC series Station 19, is headed to CBS to join the agency procedural. Deadline first reported the news on Tuesday, Sept. 3. Hayden confirmed he was cast in the CBS series on his Instagram account on Wednesday, Sept. 4.

“Very excited,” Hayden wrote alongside a screenshot of Deadline’s report.

Hayden is set to portray Agent Tyler Booth, an agent in Budapest who is in need of assistance on a case. His character will appear in the latter part of the season, Deadline reports.

More recently, Hayden wrapped his seven-season run as Travis Montgomery on the ABC series. The Grey’s Anatomy spinoff ended after its seventh season in May 2024.

Hayden previously starred as a series regular on the ABC series The Catch and had recurring roles on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and SEAL Team.

Hayden will also be joined by Jesse Lee Soffer, who will assume the series lead on FBI: International, PEOPLE previously confirmed. Soffer is taking over from Luke Kleintank, who left the franchise in season 3. The Chicago P.D. alum, 40, will star as Wesley Mitchell, the new supervisory special agent and head of the International Fly Team.

Hayden and Soffer will be joined by returning cast members Carter Redwood, Vinessa Vidotto, Eva-Jane Willis and Christina Wolfe.

FBI: International is the third iteration of the FBI franchise, following FBI and FBI: Most Wanted. The second spin-off follows the elite operatives of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s International Fly Team headquartered in Budapest.

The Dick Wolf production follows a group of special agents as they “travel throughout Europe with the mission of tracking and neutralizing threats against American citizens wherever they may be, putting their lives on the line to protect the U.S. and its people,” per the synopsis.

FBI: International season 4 will premiere on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
