Isaac Rochell Reveals Question He Hates Being Asked as a ‘Black Dad’

Isaac Rochell is opening up his experience being a “Black dad” to his 8-month-old daughter.

On Thursday, Aug. 15, the NFL alum, 29, spoke about his experience as a new dad on TikTok. Rochell, who welcomed his first daughter Scottie Bee in December with wife Allison Kuch, made a video for “Black dads with white daughters,” seeing if others can relate to the question he hates being asked.

“If you’re not a Black dad with a White daughter keep scrolling,” he said before recalling a recent conversation with a stranger.

“I’m going on a walk with my daughter and the dog. I just got asked, ‘Is that your daughter?’ ” he shared, adding, “There needs to be a whole support group about Black dads with daughters who literally got zero percent of their pigment.”

The football star then showed a picture of himself holding his daughter, zooming in on her pale legs. “She’s got D1 legs,” the proud dad joked, “But she’s definitely a White girl.”

He added that Scottie has “none of my color.”

“I feel like, ‘Is that your daughter?’ is a question like ‘How old are you?’ or ‘How much do you weigh?’ Like don’t ask me if this is my daughter,” he said, explaining why he hates the question. “I’m a grown man pushing around a stroller with two dogs. You think I’m a nanny? I’m not the nanny. I’m a grown man.”

In May, Kuch, 29, — whose real name is Allison Kucharczyk — spoke with The Bump about life as a new mom, sharing that her husband is already itching to add new members to their team.

“It’s funny because before I had our daughter, I was like, ‘Oh, you know, I do love being pregnant, but I could totally see us having one and being done,’ ” the TikTok star remembered. “But now that we have her, I’m like, ‘Oh no, I need this at least one more time. And if we can, let’s do it two or three more times.’ ”

“I think it’s just so rewarding, and I like seeing her grow. It brings a different type of happiness than I’ve ever experienced before. My husband would joke that he wants to grow a basketball team. I’m not trying to do that, but maybe two or three more,” she added.
