The Supreme Court advocated Bombay High Court’s order making Times Now accountable to pay hundred crore rupees for mistakenly airing Justice (retired ) P B Sawant’s picture in place of another judge in connection with the Provident Fund Scam on November 15, 2011.

In August 2015 it was charged for representing fake facts regarding an interview of suspected eve-teaser. The News Broadcasting Standards Authority asked to make an apology and pay fine of 50,000 rupees over this.
